Hey. I'm Ally.

My aesthetic is informed by my background in fine art photography, with a deep appreciation for Still Life, and an undying interest for the silent conversation between us and our everyday objects.

As a young tyke, I enjoyed hunting for rare treasures (or perfect props) at the thrift and antique stores of South Florida, all while riding co-pilot in my grandfather's white ‘85 Jeep Wagoneer with wood-panel siding.

While studying B&W film photography in college, I explored the landscapes of upstate NY, the city streets of Baltimore, MD all while taking advantage of every study abroad opportunity and visiting as many other countries as I could. In my travels, I grew to appreciate all aspects of artistic expression, but I especially enjoy combining the serious with the silly, patiently waiting for the ‘decisive moment’, and plain ole good lighting.

I have a BA in Journalism/Photography, and experience in: Prop Styling, Set Decorating/Dressing, Production, Sound & Lighting operation, Still Photography, Editing, Painting, and Art Department crafts. In my spare time I enjoy dreaming of far-off beaches, still frequenting local thrift / antique stores, and stopping to smell the flowers.

{all images below were captured by my grandpa, Ronald Jerry Carroll, who always carried a camera with him, took me on countless errands to Eckards to pick-up film, and gave me my very first 35mm camera}
